JenBean14@JaniceB Sorry to hear that you need to have repeat surgery….this disease is vicious. Appreciate the tip around including the need for BGSE centres which we don’t have in Ireland. Interesting that VHI approved while at the same time not agreeing that the treatment was not available here.
@Edelmf19 I can’t believe that you’re one of the women that PBS was talking about who had approved VHI cover! I thought it would be impossible to connect with those 2 people….go EAI!!!! 😀 Thank you so much for coming on here. Sounds like the crucial piece was getting the Irish consultant involved in the process. This is the part I’m most nervous about. But great to know that Kelvin Boos was open to referral should my own consultant push back. If I have a refusal from VHI in the first instance, I might reach out to Kathleen to connect us privately to understand if there’s anything I was missing based on your success. Glad to hear you’re on the road to recovery and that it was worthwhile.
