Hi Danielle, thanks for the reply. That’s such a coincidence!I was also on to Laya yesterday with that exact query and they are also posting me out some information on the process. It didn’t arrive this morning but hopefully will on Monday. The guy I spoke with said the initial consult wouldn’t be covered (250stg). I did ask if an MRI was required (I understand this is something Dr Mann usually requests) would it be covered by Laya and once it is done in an approved centre and there is a GP letter confirming it meets the necessary medical indicators it would be covered. I didn’t get the level of detail that you did on the GP letter etc so that’s really helpful, thank you. I have gone ahead and booked a consultation with Dr Mann in December so am happy to let you know how it goes if you don’t have an appointment before then. Laya said there is about a ten day turnaround for an answer on cover but I didn’t ask if there is a length of time that the approval lasts for before it runs out which might be helpful to know.
