The only surgeons (to my knowledge) using excision in Ireland – Dr Aoife O’Neill (Tallaght) – has confirmed she does not use ablation at all. From patient reports see has left some disease behind due to complexity. Dr Waseem Kamran (Beacon) – uses excision but has left some disease behind due to complexity (patient reports). Dr Hugh O’Connor (Coombe/St James) uses ablation and excision.
