I have only had negative experiences with progestogens (except Mirena) unfortunately, so not much help. Just wanted to add that the only evidence (at the moment) for the progesterone medications post op is in endometriomas. Some have used the Mirena as an effective cycle control and as it stops the cycle for many women can reduce any residual dysmenorrhoea and in the same theory as the POP – should reduce the risk of endometrioma recurrence.
