Hi Edel,
I’m sorry I can’t answer that for you. I have literally just logged in to ask the same question. I was in CUMH last week and sick of waiting for mirena to work, asked to be transferred to Dr Aoife O’Neill in Dublin. The EAI conference talk she gave was great and reassuring from a surgery point of view! I am at the point of seeking excision surgery and a hysterectomy. I have a beautiful 7-year-old son whom I am very grateful for. I am now a single mam in year 2 of 4. I have no desire to have more children and to be honest I don’t think my body could handle another pregnancy (I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in 2016). I was told by the gynae in CUMH that she can’t transfer me to Dublin as there’s an endo person here (Dr Cathy Burke). However, on looking up her profile it says nothing about endometriosis. It does say endoscopy though so maybe the gynae got confused.
Anyway, sorry for being bugger all use there! Let me know if you get any feedback. Stay well and the very best of love and luck to you on getting well again.
Karyn
