Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I’m not sure why PBS thinks there is a chance of recurrence. It’s confusing because if you research it on Facebook in a certain group, the general consensus is that true recurrence is rare and any endometriosis found in subsequent surgeries is actually missed disease from previous surgeries rather than the endometriosis actually coming back. But then if you travel to one of the surgeons listed and they tell you there’s a 50% chance of recurrence within 3-5 years, it’s confusing. I guess I should have questioned it more during the consultation, but it’s hard to think of everything at the time. I asked both PBS and Aoife O’Neill if they thought my pain was coming from endometriosis or something else (since I’ve already had an excision surgery to remove endometriosis) and they both told me that they think I have endometriosis from my history and symptoms.

It sounds like you’ve made the right decision to travel to Chris Mann. I wish you the best of luck and hopefully he can give you the long-term relief that you deserve. Your advice about having a phone consult with him is probably what I’m going to do, so thank you for your help..
