I’m hoping that your surgeon will have a specialist colorectal surgeon along with them in the surgery. One of my ovaries is surrounded by an endometrioma/cyst. The gynae attempted to remove this in January during a robotic surgery. This was unsuccessful as it’s glued to the bowel and he wouldn’t risk the surgery without a colorectal surgeon present. He was able to remove a lot of the adhesions and my other ovary was glued to my appendix. My next surgery will hopefully go ahead in the next few weeks as I also have deep infiltration endo in the bowel and now require a colon resection as well. I also had a D&C this week and I was Covid screened 3 days prior to surgery.
Ask as many questions of your surgeon beforehand, find out the plan and be confident before you go into surgery that you trust your surgeon. I find that trust between myself and my gynae has reduced my anxiety about the procedure.
