Marianne, I am sorry that you received that information. Its very difficult. My advice would be to seek a second opinion. Research, research, research. Hysterectomy is not a cure for endo-without knowing your situation and the rationale for that recommendation my initial reaction would be to take some time and seek other opinions. My experience has been that there is limited expertise regarding endometriosis in Ireland but some consultants/surgeons are probably better than others.
