Hi Klaverty,
It’s so encouraging to hear that you were feeling great four months post-op, I hope that it’s still the same 🙂
I had my consultation with Dr. Barton-Smith two weeks ago in London, not exactly the ideal time for travel or organising surgery abroad but I’m hoping to get to the bottom of things sooner rather than later! It may be the case that I will be travelling to Prof. Passover in Zurich instead, still a little up in the air.
As this will be my first surgery, I’m a little in the dark about the whole experience to be honest. I’ve asked a few follow-up questions regarding surgery but have yet to hear back. Of course everyone’s experience is different but I’m trying to get a sense of it, to mentally prepare myself and plan my trip accordingly. Reading about everyone’s experience has been so helpful already.
If you’d be comfortable sharing, I’m wondering if you could tell me a little bit about the excisions themselves – size and location, is there much variability on this? My surgery would in the simple category, 3D. Also, how’re they healing?
I didn’t develop symptoms until my late twenties, and so having had a very positive relationship with my menstrual cycle until that point where pain ignited confusion, I am still trying to wrap my head around it all and understand how my body will change post surgery.
Thank you so much!
