Oh you’re a total star, thank you so much for all that info!
That’s all so unbelievably encouraging to hear, has given me a real lift to read it. And I’m so delighted that things have gone so well for you since. 🙂
Not at all, you’ve given me a great insight. If you’d be happy to share the report, that could be really helpful, thank you. I totally appreciate that everyone’s experience is so unique but I’ve found that the relative lack of information on patient experience makes it tricky to attempt to locate myself and my symptoms in a broader picture, and therefore, outcomes.
I’m hoping to arrange surgery in January. In my case, enlarged veins were detected in my scan as well as an endometrioma, so it may well be that the former are contributing to symptoms. I’m waiting to hear back from Zurich, where they could address both issues if they think my case merits that investigation. The point of all that is to say, if it doesn’t seem to them that it’s a part of the problem, then I’ll go with PBS. In the meantime, he has prescribed a progesterone-only pill for me and I’m curious to see if that has any impact.
I totally hear you on scars. And the sheer insignificance in relation to addressing a problem and restoring proper quality of life. I think, since symptoms began for me this whole experience has felt so surreal, now that endometriosis has been confirmed and surgery approaches, I needed more information to walk through in my head surgery and all it entails. So thank you!
That’s so great to hear that you were feeling so well so soon after surgery. I so hope for a a similar experience! When you say you were up and about, were you reliant at all on your companion or fairly self-sufficient?
Did you have a post-op appointment before you flew home?
I can’t think of any other questions at the minute but thanks so much again! 🙂
